Simon Brett
Simon Brett is the writer responsible for the Charles Paris, Mrs Pargeter, Fethering and Blotto & Twinks series of crime novels. He was awarded an OBE in the 2016 New Year’s Honours ‘for services to literature’, and is also Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and holder of the CWA Diamond Dagger, one of the highest accolades in the crime writing world.
Sydney Jordan
Sydney Jordan is a comics artist best known for his daily science fiction strip Jeff Hawke, which ran in the Daily Express from 1955 to 1974. Jeff Hawke fans have their own website, where you can find out the history of this pioneer of space aviation.
After Jeff Hawke finished, Jordan created another science fiction strip, Lance McLane, which ran in the Scottish newspaper the Daily Record from 1976 to 1988.
